Family's Weekend of Disappointment
So here's the deal. The arcade was shut down and didn’t open back up, which was a bummer for my son since he was looking forward to that and the hot tub. Thankfully, my son did enjoy the breakfast, it was decent, but honestly, we expected more for some family fun time.
This was not inexpensive, but it was still somewhat acceptable.

The pool area was clean and provided a nice retreat after long days, while the breakfast room had ample seating and good options, though some items could benefit from more variety. Staff were friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the facility. However, limited breakfast choices and a somewhat isolated location with less immediate access to downtown may deter some.

The location was fantastic, just a short ride to downtown Deadwood and right near the Mickelson Trail, a dream for bike enthusiasts! The room was spacious with comfy beds and a nice seating area, perfect for relaxing after a day of biking. Plus, the staff were friendly and accommodating.
Only downside was the limited breakfast options.

missingWrote a review on 03 Augfun amenitieshelpful staffgreat locationpoor cleanlinessinattentive servicecold whirlpool
We had some fun moments but a few issues dampened our stay. The adjoining rooms were perfect for our extended family, allowing easy access for both kids and adults. The arcade and pool were hits, keeping everyone entertained. Paul at the front desk was a lifesaver, helping us with extra blankets and assisting the kids with their arcade tickets. Colleen in the bar area was fantastic too, serving up pizza and making sure we had a good time with pool and cornhole games. However, the absence of a proper housekeeping schedule was frustrating. We didn't get our room cleaned despite the promise that housekeeping would only enter upon request. The whirlpool was cold initially, which took a while to fix. Some food options could have been better, as some of the breakfast selections didn’t sit well with us. The location was a bit of a trek from the downtown area, but the trolley service was helpful. Considering the positives and negatives, it was a decent stay, but I definitely think some improvements are needed.

The breakfast spread was a delightful legendary feast, with tasty options that kept my belly happy! I especially loved the local gems like Chubby Chipmunk Hand-Dipped Chocolates just a hop away. Plus, the staff exuded warmth, making it feel like home on the range.
While the housekeeping mix-up felt like a wild west surprise, the folks at the front desk quickly won me back with their hospitality. Just a little hiccup in an otherwise enjoyable adventure.

We loved exploring the Broken Boot Gold Mine, and the self-guided walking tour of the Wild West town was a highlight. The indoor pool and fitness center were great for downtime. Perfect location with easy access to attractions. Just a heads up, the grab-and-go breakfast was decent but limited. Still, we would definitely come back!
The only downside was that the advertised casino isn’t there anymore, which was a bit of a letdown for some of my friends.
